Veneman Debuts strong in the High Point Market
The Veneman Group made their first showing in the High Point market in grand fashion by presenting their 4 new collections in addition to their classic and signature collects.
The Veneman Group, once a division of Tropitone, Inc. was acquired by longtime furniture veteran Bill Markowitz in November 2003. Since the acquisition the Veneman Group has been under intense revitalizations of the well-known brand. Included in the revitalization has been the introduction of 4 new collections. Of the new collection, 3 are woven and one is cast aluminum.
Sail, the newest of the cast aluminum variety, captures the look of natural rattan and bamboo while being handcrafted from pure aluminum ingots. The finished product beautifully combines the look of fine crafted wood, with a strong attention to detail and the durability of sand cast aluminum. The collection is highlighted by the very comfortable lounge chair; the fabric is suspended by the unique way it is attached to the frame almost billowing in the wind like a real sail!
Enchancing one of Veneman's most popular collections, are 3 unique woven collections. These new collections, Marin, Mandalay, and Montecitio draw upon the distinctive and traditional look of real wicker while being suitable for indoor and outdoor use. This indoor/outdoor furniture is crafted in a timeless modern style designed to withstand the hardest elements of nature while maintaining a comfortable and attractive look. It is made from an innovative faux wicker material which is durable, attractive, while being easy to maintain and comfortable to the touch. The material is hand woven over a powder coated aluminum frame. It gives the look of real wicker, but is truly outdoor furniture.
Markowitz states,"By adding new collections we are able to stay relevant in a highly competitive arena." "Additionally, we are getting ready to launch our website which will be a great resource for both the commercial trade and home markets for our customers, designers, contractors, retailers and salespersons." "We have had a very positive response to our latest collections," Markowitz also stated.
Other componenents of the brand revitalization are new fabric books including a new fabric line from Italy, revised price lists and participation in the HD Show in Las Vegas in May, Neocon in Chicago in June, a permannent showroom in the Chicago Merchandise Mart.
